Smallbrook Care Home is a 41-bed Residential Care Home specialized for Dementia. We have an exceptionally hardworking workforce and are looking to recruit a housekeeping assistant to join the team.
The vacancy is for 36hrs a week, with alternate weekend working. The basic salary is £10.50 per hour, £12.00 per hour at the weekends. Additional £1.50 paid of any overtime hours.

Duties

- To ensure the environment is clean and hygienic.
- To maintain a high standard of appearance to the environment.
- To respect resident’s privacy and dignity at all times (including the residents possessions)
- To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment.
- To be aware of the residents’ laundry needs.
- To be adhere to health and safety policy.
Essential
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team Player
- Willingness to participate training programs.
- Satisfactory DBS
- Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Good understanding of Infection Control.
- Ability to understand what the role entails.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- To have an understanding of dementia.
- To be able to prioritise work load.
